Omladinska grupa BYC našeg džemata je jedna od svijetlih tačaka naše bošnjačke čikaške zajednice. Oni su u subotu, 3-eg februara, učestvovali u projektu doniranja paketića za djecu bez roditelja kroz organizaciju “Fill a Heart for Kids”.
Tom prilikom njihova gošća bila je predstavnica navedene fondacije, koja se obratila našim džematlijama i podijelila sa nama šokantne informacije o djeci koja nemaju roditelje ili djeci s kojom se trguje, pa smo sa njihove web stranice za Vas pripremili nekoliko takvih infoirmacija:

On an average night in America…
- 3million Homeless Youths are struggling to survive without the support of any family.
- Many of these youths were abandoned by their families, escaped from physical, emotional or sexual abuse or aged out of foster care.
- Hundreds of homeless kids in Illinois are turned away from shelters daily because there are not enough beds.
- They sleep in dumpsters, abandoned buildings, under viaducts… wrapped in newspaper or tarps to stay warm and hidden from dangerous people and to protect their bodies from being bitten by rats.
- Many street kids are exploited and forced into survival sex for food and shelter.
